Don't Care to Ask

So, I'm going to UNO. Taking Micro-economics, Public Speaking, History of Jazz, and Geology. Good news though, class is canceled tomorrow! And it might be for Tuesday as well. Very pumped about that. Nebraska sucks, the football team that is. Oh well, I still love em! We'll hopefully do better next year in the Big 10!

I wrote a poem for my English class that I talked about a couple weeks ago. Here it is:

I'm the kind of person to have "homosexual tendencies."
And you've crossed my path once before
and I didn't turn you gay.
I watched you murder a family of five,
I forgave you.
I didn't turn you in.

We've talked late at night,
sitting in our cotton cots
fully clothed staring at the ceiling
waiting for our corporal to wake us.

You told me I was wrong.
That God would have take an unmerciful vengeance
on me.
That I'd burn in hell sitting next to
Hitler and the Devil himself,
performing the sodomy that is homosexuality.

God forgets your sins of murder
and unwarranted hatred of your own kind
but wages war on those living their life
the only way they know.
I did not make this choice.
I live in fear for how I
have always been.

Your reasoning is that
if it's out of sight, it's out of mind.
Even if you don't know that
I prefer men over women,
it doesn't change that I am
what you call a "faggot."

I've accepted you,
I've forgiven you,
and I've prayed for you
that your misdeeds would be overlooked
by your Savior.

If I'm in the wrong,
then I hope you
look down on me
from your high post
sitting at the right hand
of God.

Enjoy.
